They took in three kittens who quickly joined five other cats on their lap-cuddling adventures.

Soon after these three kittens (Nick, Clementine, and Holly) arrived at their foster home, they picked up a new skill from five tabby friends.
Asa, a volunteer with Kitten Rescue Life, stepped up to care for the trio when another volunteer needed help. At 10 weeks old, the kittens were a joyful, playful bunch, eager for new adventures.
They quickly settled into their new space and were delighted to discover they weren't the only litter in the room.

Just a few feet away, another playpen held five tabbies snuggled cozily in a large cat bed.
Born to a stray cat who was later adopted by her rescuer, the tabbies still had some growing to do and skills to hone before they were ready for adoption. They quickly blossomed into the loudest purring lap snugglers, swarming their foster mom every time she walked in.

"I had the kittens set up in separate enclosures so they could get used to each other," Asa shared.
Within a few days, the hissing subsided significantly, and the kittens grew increasingly curious about one another. "There were more instances of them trying to play with each other across the divider, so I did a short trial run of having all eight in the same space."
They became fast friends. The trio followed the tabbies as they climbed onto their foster mom's lapAsa
By the next day, they were fully integrated. "They've been amicable and playful with each other, and I get to be greeted by these kittens all at once."
Seeing the tabbies eagerly hop onto their foster mom, meowing for attention, the three newcomers soon followed suit, forming a cozy blanket of kittens that covered her lap completely.

The trio had never shared a lap with five other kittens before, but now they found it extra cozy to have new furry friends snuggling beside them.
The eight kittens all squeezed onto Asa's legs, nestled closely together to maximize comfort.

With their shared love for cuddles, the tabbies warmly embraced the trio as part of their crew.
Besides being the "food lady," Asa has become their favorite "cat bed." As soon as she sits down, all eight of them pile onto her, filling the room with their squeaky meows and rumbling purrs.

The two litters are getting along swimmingly, zooming with each other, pouncing on toys, and performing "parkour" all around the room. Once they tire out, they turn into tiny purr machines, grooming each other before drifting off to sleep.
Taking after the tabbies, the three kittens have become full-fledged lap cats.

The kittens happily hog Asa's lap for hours, so she brings in her laptop to watch shows while the little ones nap. "My hand and legs fall asleep with all these cuddle puddles, but it's worth it."
These eight purring lap cats make this winter extra warm and cozy for their foster family.
